I prefer a 12 to a 10 and am really fond of Lagavulin, Oh did you mean which photograph? I see you prefer the 12 also.
Composition is straightforward and simple and fits what I guess you are trying to do. It looks to me like you lit the shot with on bare light overhead and in front of the objects. It is difficult to tell with the effects applied. In either case I don't think the effect adds to the image.
Glass and liquid can be tough subjects. For the surface of the glass consider it a very round mirror. For the density (can't think of a better phrase) of the glass and the liquid consider backlighting. If you were able to use a bounce card with even light of a small lightbox, in place of your lights, the surface of the glass would look better. You could also add back lighting or even white cards cut just so you don't see them behind the bottles. Try adding some light to the cards behind the bottles to brighten the liquid.
